Flora Anne Carter Bowles, 93, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999.
Mrs. Bowles was a daughter of the late George and Esther Watkins Carter 
and was the widow of Ben W. Bowles. She was a homemaker and was a member 
of Timothy Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with the 
Revs. Mark Palmer and Dayton Logan officiating. Burial will be in 
Danielsville Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include three daughters, Marion Frances Bales and Rosa 
Roland, both of Danielsville, and Lois Burgess, Watkinsville; two 
sons, William Delmar Bowles, Morro Bay, Calif., and Lewis "Tom" Bowles, 
Norwood, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four 
great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ron Burgess, Russell Bales, Mike Burgess, Dale 
Bowles, Greg Bales and Michael Burgess. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Glen Roland and Clinton Bales.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. 
today at the funeral home.
