Hilda Faye Scogin Smith, 51, of 1104 Holman Autry Road died Monday, 
April 12, 1999.

A native of Clarke County, Ladys Haley Scogin and the late Ellis 
Weldon Scogin and was the widow of Clarence Smith. She was preceded 
in death by a son, Junior Drake.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Larry Davison officiating. Burial will be in Kirk-Scogin Cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include three daughters, Amanda 
Smith, Jennifer Smith and Cindy Cooper, all of Danielsville; a son, 
Richard Drake, Danielsville; four brothers, Felton Scogin, Hull, Dwight 
Scogin, Danielsville, Jerry Scogin, Carlton, and Bruce Scogin, Colbert; 
three sisters, Debra Smith, Hull, Lynn Smith, Nicholson, and Connie 
Roth, Comer; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Clint Tiller, Trent Tiller, Steven Roth Jr., Gary 
Smith, Jason Smith and Richard Hatfield. Honorary pallbearers will 
be Dennis Bridges and Larry Tiller.

The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, P.O. 
Box 6588, Athens, Ga. 30604.
