A native of Madison County, Mr. Scarborough was a son of the late Silas Benjamin and Mae Chastain Scarborough. He was a retired farmer and was of the Methodist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church, Danielsville, with the Revs. Dayton Logan and Lonnie Bennett officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Wood Scarborough; two daughters, Louise Gueth, Comer, and Martha Adams, Danielsville; five sons, James Scarborough, Hull, Ernest Scarborough and Johnny Scarborough, both of Comer, Kenneth Scarborough, Danielsville, and Charles Scarborough, Ila; a sister, Myrtie Alewine, Crawford; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston
