Otis Meadows Sr., 79, of 2209 Faye Carey Road, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, the Rev. Meadows was a son of the late Cicero and Annie May McIntyre Meadows. He was a retired electrician, a member of the New Haven Holiness Church, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by a son, Otis Meadows Jr. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Holiness Church, Ila, with the Revs. Rufus Miller and Eugene Walls officiating. Burial will be in the New Haven Holiness Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Wallace Meadows; two daughters, Frances Brown and Patricia Peay, both of Danielsville; three sons, James "Bud" Meadows, Ila, Bobby Meadows and Ben Meadows, both of Danielsville; a sister, Viola Epps, Washington; seven brothers, Mack Meadows, Frank Meadows, and J.T. Meadows, all of Union Point, Weyman Meadows, Social Circle, R.B. Meadows, Monroe, Harold Meadows, Kathleen, and Hoyt Meadows, Eagle Lake, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence of Frances and L.C. Brown, 2225 Faye Carey Road, Danielsville, and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston.
