HUTTO Earl Jefferson Hutto, 78, of Danielsville, died Saturday, April 15, 2000. He was born in Hampton, S.C., to the late Clayton and Macy Williams Hutto. Mr. Hutto was a retired mechanic and welder and served in the Army in World War II. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hutto was preceded in death by his wife, Lurline Jones Hutto, and his parents. The funeral services were held Monday, April 17, at Brown's Funeral Home Chapel, Danielsville, with the Revs. David McDonald and James Creason officiating. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Michael Jones, Jamel Jones, Donald Jones, Chester Bray, Randy Graham and Kenneth Graham. Survivors include one step-daughter, Dinnie Mildred Purdue, and two step-sons, Albert Milton Thomas and Milford Alvin Thomas, all of Danielsville; three sisters, Verma Metts, Chapin, S.C., Marie Derrick, Swansea, S.C., and Dorothy Margie Neese, West Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Richard A. Hutto, Gaston, S.C.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. BELL Kenneth Sam Bell, 52, of Commerce, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at VA Regional Hospital. Mr. Bell was born December 10, 1947, a son of Clemmie Andrews Bell, Commerce, and the late Jessie L. Bell. He was self-employed in lawn service. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, at Charity Baptist Church with Ministers V. Howington, B. Burrell and J. Stowe officiating. Burial was in the Indian Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Carnesville. Survivors include his wife, Brenda A. Bell; two brothers, C.D. Bell and James Bell, both of Commerce; and five sisters, Grace Busha, Carnesville, Gladys Catalano, Homer, Louise Pruitt and Brenda Segars, both of Commerce, and Agnes Young, Ila. WILSON Mrs. Drucilla Haggard Wilson, 77, of Poca, died Thursday, April 13, 2000. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Cam B. and Mattie Embry Haggard. She was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church, where she served as clerk and as a Sunday School secretary for a number of years. Mrs. Wilson was retired from Georgia Sportswear. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, at Providence Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Tucker and Albert Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Billy Singleton, Tim Shields, Billy Culbertson, Leon Swindle, Ernest Martin and Robert Weathington served as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband, Mack Wilson; daughters and sons- in-law, Maxine and Garney Shields Jr. and Phyllis and Clayton Bryant, all of Poca; one sister, Mattie Lou Swindle, Commerce; two grandchildren, Tim Shields and Billy Singleton; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla Reno and Brittany Shields. MOORE Benjamin Franklin Moore, 92, of Danielsville, died Sunday, April 16, 2000. He was born in Madison County to the late Henry Benson Moore and Pinkie Jane Drake Moore. Mr. Moore was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Ray T. Moore. Graveside services were April 18 at Friendship Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Dayton Logan officiating. Survivors include his wife, Willie Graham Moore; daughters and sons-in-law, Jack and Henry Booth and Nina and William Hitchcock, all of Danielsville; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Elsie Moore, Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Tommie Moore, Danielsville; one daughter-in-law, Addie Moore, Universal City, Texas; two grandchildren, Wayne Booth and April Watson; one step-grandchild, Anita French; one great-grandchild, Adrianna Watson; and two step-great-grandchildren, Chris and Adam Watson. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Freeman was a daughter of the late Berry Newton Peek and Valley Uralee Rowland and was the widow of the late Luther C. Freeman. She was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was a seamstress and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. Services were held Thursday, April 13, at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Marion Prather and Harold Thornhill officiating. Burial was in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Casper, Chris Freeman, Mark Freeman, Richard Hammond, William Hammond, Michael Dunn, Landon Wilder and John Toole. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Kenly and Timothy Hammond. ELROD Mrs. Katie Lou Cantrell Elrod, 72, of Watkinsville, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her residence. She was born February 29, 1928, in Gwinnett County to the late Quillion and Hassie Nations Cantrell. Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by her husband, the late Marvin Odell Elrod. She was retired from Commerce Poultry and was a member of Freedom Church of God. Funeral services were held April 18 at Freedom Church of God with the Revs. Tim Garrett, Curtis Hammond and Lamar Hansard officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Randy Elrod, Danielsville, and Ronald Elrod and Stevie Elrod, both of Commerce; five daughters, Janet Andrews, Colbert, Angie Bradshaw and Vickie Cole, both of Watkinsville, Sherry Godfrey, Crawford, and Gayle Green, Commerce; one brother, Vester Cantrell, Suwannee; one sister, Katherine Walker, Buford; 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was born December 29, 1919, in Stephens County to the late John and Lizzie Rothell McClure. Mr. McClure was an electrician, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Funeral services were held April 19 at the Little-Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Warren Huddleston and Vaughn Howington officiating. Burial was at Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wills McClure, Commerce; one son, Samuel Edwin McClure, Jefferson; four daughters, Betty Ayers, Commerce, Nancy Bond, Conyers, Gloria Flynn, Norwich, England, and Virginia Pigg, Malabar, Fla.; and one brother, Dan McClure, Commerce.
