Dallmeyer Ray D. Dallmeyer, 83, of Danielsville, died Thursday, March 23, 2000. Mr. Dallmeyer was born in St. Charles, Mo., a son of the late Leo Casper and Hilda Dierker Dallmeyer. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Corps, and had worked as marketing manager for Amoco. Mr. Dallmeyer was of the Episcopalian faith. Mr. Dallmeyer will be buried in St. Peter Cemetery, St. Charles, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Helen J. Johnson Dallmeyer; and two sons, Dr. R. David Dallmeyer and Dorinda Dallmeyer, both of Danielsville. Gravitt Guy Leon Gravitt, 50, of Colbert, died Friday, March 24, 2000. Mr. Gravitt was born in Jackson County, a son of the late John Henry and Bertie Wood Gravitt. He was a retired security guard with Georgia Security and was of the Baptist denomination. Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 28, in Bethabara Cemetery, Monroe, with the Rev. Jack Lindsey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Kittle Gravitt; and two sisters, Shirley Kerr, Colbert, and Peggy Bryant, Statham. Smith Mrs. Montine McGee Smith, 92, of Danielsville, died Monday, March 20, 2000. Mrs. Smith was born in Elbert County, a daughter of Amos and Sarah Alexander McGee. She had worked as a social worker with the Department of Family and Children Services and was a member of Danielsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was also a member of the Athens Chapter #268 Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo R. McGarity, and her second husband, Perry S. Smith, and a brother, Allen L. McGee. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 23, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Mike Hudman and Tony Lee officiating. Burial was in Bowman Cemetery. David Griffeth, Joe Griffeth, Pete Sisk, Tim Arthur, Phil Griffeth and Walter Freeman served as pallbearers. Allen Mrs. Miriam Denise Allen, 41, of Colbert, died Sunday, March 19, 2000. Mrs. Allen was a daughter of Samuel Curry Allen Sr. and Sara Lois Allen. Cantrell Mrs. Leatha Mae Upchurch Cantrell, 80, of Comer, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Cantrell was a daughter of the late Walter Raleigh and Alice Jane Chapel Upchurch. She was a homemaker and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Cantrell was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Cleo Cantrell, and two brothers, W.B. "Red" Upchurch and Walter Upchurch. Funeral services were held Friday, March 24, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, with the Revs. Bill Nash and John Alexander officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park. Odell Henry Bryant Odell, 76, of Elberton, died Saturday, March 25, 2000. A native of Pickens, S.C., Mr. Odell was a son of the late Ralph and Lois Stancil Odell. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired profiler in the granite industry. Mr. Odell was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She had resided in Barrow County since 1984. Mrs. Jenkins was a housewife and a member of Carl Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Jenkins. Shupe Mrs. Ruth Moss Shupe, 92, of Commerce, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Alzheimer's Care of Commerce. Mrs. Shupe was born September 27, 1907, in Jackson County. She was a daughter of the late William Turner and Edna Cordelia Gillespie Moss. Mrs. Shupe was a retired schoolteacher and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Shupe. Funeral services were held Monday, March 27, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Revs. Carlton Peters and Brad Wilson officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hardy, Commerce; four nieces, Sandra Purdom, Decatur, Lynn Bernier, Pelham, Carolyn Goddard, Maysville, and Virginia Beadle, Lake Wells, Fla.; and three nephews, Paul Garrison and Steve Garrison, both of Commerce, and Jim Moss, Danielsville.
