Crump Mrs. Rhoda Ester Crump, 68, of Commerce, died Monday, September 4, 2000, at her residence. Mrs. Crump was born January 23, 1932, in Commerce. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Howell Cobb and Mrs. Cora Ester Ledford Parr. Mrs. Crump was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie McClure and Maybell Parr, and a brother, the Rev. Leroy Parr. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 7, at the Lighthouse Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Winfred Bingham, John Webber, Dennis Kesler and Jim Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. McKinney Mrs. Helen Lucille Carlan McKinney, 70, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, August 29, 2000, at Lakeshore Heights Nursing Home, Gainesville, following a brief illness. Mrs. McKinney was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Asbury and Nina Opal Ayers Carlan. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Kimbrell Grady Paul Kimbrell, 67, of Commerce, died Saturday, September 2, 2000, at his residence. Mr. Kimbrell was born September 10, 1932, in Cherokee County. He was a son of the late William T. and Inez Butler Kimbrell. Mr. Kimbrell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He was a heating and air service technician. Mr. Kimbrell was preceded in death by two grandchildren, a brother, Charles "Boots" Kimbrell, and a sister, Sara Tilley. Massey Mrs. Ruby Lee Chastain Massey, 97, of Crawford, died Friday, September 1, 2000, at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home, Crawford. Mrs. Massey was born March 2, 1903, in Franklin County. She was a daughter of the late Balus Stephenson and Mary Ada Bray Chastain. Mrs. Massey was a retired bookkeeper and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Athens Chapter Eastern Star #268, the International Wally Byam Caravan Club, the Crawford's Women's Club and a past member of the Athens Business Women's Club. Mrs. Massey was preceded in death her husband, Garnett Edgar Massey, three sisters, Bertha Carey, Verba Jordan and Rachel Baker, and a brother, J.C. Chastain. Holloway Robert Harrison Holloway, 84, of Danielsville, died Monday, September 4, 2000, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston. Mr. Holloway was born April 24, 1916, a son of the late Benjamin and Florence Smith Holloway. He was a retired farmer and had worked with the Madison County Road Department. Mr. Holloway was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corene Porterfield Holloway, and two sons, Robert Lee Holloway and Buddy Holloway. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 6, at Bluestone Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Jenkins and James Creason officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Coile Robert Lee Coile, 91, of Comer, died Saturday, September 2, 2000, at Starcrest Nursing Home, Cartersville. Mr. Coile was born December 20, 1908, in Madison County. He was a son of the late James Marcus and Fannie Beulah Glenn Coile. Mr. Coile was a retired farmer and a member of Grace Baptist Church, Cartersville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Manley Coile. Mr. Coile was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Hobbs Benjamin Joe Brown "Benny" Hobbs, 92, of Royston, died Thursday, August 31, 2000, at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center. Mr. Hobbs was born August 2, 1908, in Hart County. He was a son of the late John Henry Hobbs and the late Nora Elizabeth Chastain Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was retired from Coggins Granite Company and was a member of Royston Baptist Church. He had also attended Hannah's Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his wife, Evie Dove Hobbs, a daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Bowers, three brothers, William, Seabron and Luther Hobbs, and a sister, Bertie Adams. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 2, at Hannah's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Malcolm Herndon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, Winder. Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Keller Sr. Funeral services were held Friday, September 1. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
