Feathers Mrs. Traves M. Feathers, 83, of Colbert, died Thursday, February 3, 2000. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Feathers was a daughter of the late David and Lena Martin. She was a longtime resident of the Colbert area and was a member of Colbert Baptist Church. Mrs. Feathers was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Feathers. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 5, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Don Fuller and Herman Nation officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, Monroe. Mrs. Feathers is survived by a niece and nephew, Sydney and Dewayne Pearson, Hull. Hancock, 78, of Danielsville, died Thursday, February 3, 2000. A native of Madison County, Mr. Hancock was a son of the late Claude D. and Mittie Jarrells Hancock. He was a member of Tabor Chapel CME Church. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 5, at Tabor Chapel CME Church with the Revs. Morris L. Colvin Sr. and Franklin D. Winters officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Beasley, Danielsville, and Vera Gunnells, Dahlonega; and two brothers, Paul Hancock, Dothan, Ala., and Teddy R. Fowler Klein McRae Fowler, 76, of Milton, Fla., formerly of Danielsville, died Wednesday, February 2, 2000. Mr. Fowler was born June 8, 1923, in Madison County. He was a son of the late A. Hoyt Fowler and Reba Crowe Fowler. Mr. Fowler served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the military on December 1, 1967. Funeral services were held Monday, February 7, in the chapel of Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Fla., with U.S. Navy Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating. Burial was in Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors. Survivors include his wife, Helen L. Fowler; three sons, Ronald Fowler, Riverside, Calf., John Fowler, Milton, Fla., and Wayne Fowler, Corona, Calif.; one brother, Keith Fowler, Hull; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Yarbrough Mrs. Floy Mildred Yarbrough, 89, of Athens, died Tuesday, February 1, 2000. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Yarbrough was a daughter of the late Laura Morris and Redden Franklin Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Alfred Colquitt Yarbrough. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 3, at Hull Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Jane and Gene Smart, Winterville, and Melba and David Kellar, Hull; one sister, Mrs. Zuline Smith, Commerce; four grandchildren, Terry Smart, Athens, Cheree Smart, Winterville, Chris Kellar, Suwanee, and Matt Kellar, Stone Mountain; and seven great-grandchildren, Brandi, Lauren and Mallory Smart, Brent Gulley, and Shannon, Adam and Megan Kellar. Dudley Mrs. Alice Fleming Dudley, 78, of Royston, died Friday, February 4, 2000, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston. Mrs. Dudley was born March 14, 1921, in Franklin County. She was a daughter of the late Leonard Earl and Roxie Foster Fleming. Mrs. Dudley was a homemaker and a member of the Royston Church of God, where she served as an officer of the Women's Ministries for many years. She was preceded in death by a brother, J.P. Fleming. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 6, at the Royston Church of God with the Rev. James Gunn officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. David Fulghum, Jimmy Dove, Randy Osley, Ed Brawner, Mike Bryant and Curtis Cape served as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband, Major Dudley; two daughters, Jennifer McCullar and Sandra Grizzle, both of Royston; two brothers, Hubert Fleming and W.J. Fleming, both of Royston; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Woodall Mrs. Mary Ruth Reynolds Woodall, 51, of Elberton, died Friday, February 4, 2000. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Woodall was a daughter of the late J.C. and Geneva Fowler Reynolds. She was co-owner of J&B Granite Company and was the first women stonecutter in Elberton. Mrs. Woodall was also a foster mother to 45 children and was a member of Elberton Church of God. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Woodall. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 6, at the Elberton Church of God with the Rev. Randy Coggins officiating. Burial was in Elmhurst Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Woodall; one daughter, Tammy Parham, Comer; one son, Kenny Woodall, Elberton; three sisters, Gertie McCannon, Elberton, Martha Drew, Carlton, and Eloise Schultz, Tennessee; three brothers, Aaron Reynolds and David Reynolds, both of Elberton, and Albert Reynolds, Comer; and six grandchildren. "Al" Allen, 83, of Athens, died Thursday, February 3, 2000. A lifelong resident of Clarke County, Mr. Allen was a son of the late William N. and Jessie Crow Allen. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, and had worked in the automobile business. Mr. Allen was retired from Heyward Allen Motor Company and was a member of Princeton United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 5, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, with the Rev. Russell Repetske officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park. Glenn Allen, Joshua T. Allen, David Hutchinson, Ricky Allen, Jamey Harrison and Bob Thomas served as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn T. Allen; two sons, Larry G. Allen, Watkinsville, and Bob Allen, Colbert; one sister, Agnes Davis, Athens; one brother, Clarence Allen, Athens; and three grandchildren. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Davidson was a son of Wilburn Davison, Watkinsville. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from the Atlanta Fire Department. Mr. Davison was a member of Milford Church of God, Austell, and a former member of Mount Paran Church of God Central. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 5, at Milford Church of God with the Revs. Steve Brown and Johnny Willis officiating. Other services were held at Middle River Baptist Church, Carnesville, with the Rev. Larry Davison officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Methodist Church cemetery, Carnesville. Survivors, in addition to his sister and father, include his wife, Mary Davison; one daughter, Donna Harley, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one son, Gregory Alex Davison, Monticello; sister, Mary Duvall, Hartwell; three brothers, Howell Davison, Monroe, Eugene Davison, Warner Robins, and Larry Davison, Watkinsville; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews. Adkins, 66, of Commerce, died Thursday, January 27, 2000, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Adkins was a daughter of the late George and Ary Salter McDonald. She was co-founder of Norcross Tag Company, located in Jefferson, and was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Vidalia. Memorial services were held Wednesday, February 2, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with Teddi Dial and Sam Dial officiating. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Laing Adkins; son and daughter- in-law, Al and Krista Ginn Adkins, Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Laing and Mark A. Hayes, Commerce; brother and sister-in-law, Lake and Pearl McDonald, Vidalia; sister, Juanita Mann, Atlanta; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Jack Sickterman, Venice, Fla, Erleen and Andre Garr, Georgetown, S.C., and Lee and Phil Hoke, York, Pa.; and three grandsons, Michael Hayes, Robert Hayes and Gregory Hayes.
