Long St., died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Saxon was a daughter of the late Joe and Mary Roberts Drake, and was the widow of Thurman Saxon. She was a retired textile spinner, a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Seay and Douglas Duncan officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Reba Rowland Hanley, Danielsville; two sons, Joe Grady Saxon, Gipson, and Thurman ''Buddy'' Saxon, Bowman; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family is at the home of granddaughter Cindy Kohal, 3060 Grady School Road, Canon, and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell.
