Owens, Polly 

ELBERTON, Ga. - Polly Angline Brown Owens, 90, of Nancy Hart Nursing 
Center, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Madison County, she was a member of the Elberton Christian 
Church and was a homemaker and retired nurse's aide at Elbert Memorial 
Hospital. 

Surviving are sons, Reginald Owens of Elberton, and Bobby Lester Owens 
of Raleigh, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. 

She was the widow of Joseph Lester Owens and was the daughter of the 
late James Wiley Brown and Cynthia Reeves Brown. She was preceded in 
death by a son, Jerry Owens; five sisters, Gillie Mae Brown, Gaither 
Elizabeth Brown, Alice Velma Brown, Ruie Eunice Brown and Anna Lois 
Brown; and four brothers, George Washington Brown, Robert Hoyt Brown, 
Cleo Boyd Brown and William S. "Bud" Brown. 

Services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home by the Rev. 
Bill Eaton; burial will be in Elmhurst cemetery, Elberton. The 
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Berry Funeral 
Home. The family is at the home of Diane Owens, 1052 Calhoun Falls 
Highway, Elberton. Flowers are optional. The family suggests memorials 
be made to the Elberton Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 382 
Elberton, Ga
