Sgt. Al Fielding Colbert Ret. Sgt. Al Fielding, 70, of 168 Peachtree St. died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Fielding was a son of the late Everett and Myrt Christopher Fielding. He was retired as a sergeant from the U.S. Army and was a member of VFW and of Antioch Christian Church, Watkinsville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Antioch Christian Church with full military honors. Survivors include his wife, Jurlee Fielding; four daughters, Mary Brown, Athens, Margaret Boles, Sandra Craven and Janet Moon, all of Hull; a son, James Fielding, Watkinsville; a stepdaughter, Jenny Logan, Hull; three stepsons, Chris Bonner and Waymon Bonner, both of Athens, and Louie Bonner, Watkinsville; four sisters, Stella Harbin and Edna Pugh, both of Watkinsville, Bessie Epps and Sarah Norton, both of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville.
