A native of Franklin County, Mr. Busby was a son of the late Louisa Busby of Lavonia and the late Johnny Busby, was the widower of Betty Brown Busby, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy McGaha. He was a Korean War army veteran and was employed as a body and fender repairman in the automobile industry. He was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. David Wilson and Leon Carson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, South. Survivors include his wife, Janie Rudene Ayers Busby, Royston; a daughter, Donna Aldrich, Carnesville; two sons, Blake Busby, Canon, and Larry Busby, Royston; six sisters, Ann Carey, Carnesville, Reba Ayers, Westminster, S.C., Christine Bagwell, Martin, Rachel Batey, Toccoa, Rose Beck, Royston, Linda Merck, Fairplay, S.C. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
