A native of Madison County, Mr. Smallwood was a son of the late Montine Dailey and Howell Parker Smallwood, and was the widower of Eva Sue I ngram Smallwood. He was a World War II navy veteran, a retired poultry farmer and a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Blacks Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mahalious Mitchell, Cleveland; two sons, Darrell Smallwood and Ronnie Smallwood, both of Commerce; a brother, Theron Smallwood, Commerce; seven grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. The family is at the residence of Ronnie Smallwood. Little-Ward Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
