A native of Madison County, Mrs. Watson was a daughter of the late George and Annie Wade Palmer and was the widow of Cartee Watson. She was a homemaker and attended Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Watkinsville. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Douglas Hammond and Nathan Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Vineyards Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Joann Howard, McDonough, Shirley Wilbanks, Athens, and Wanda Capes, Alto; two sons, William Watson, Milledgeville, and O.D. Watson, Athens; three sisters, Pauline Seay, Danielsville, Dorothy Morris and Flora Brown, both of Colbert; a brother, Billy Palmer, Comer; nine grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren.
