Cohran Danielsville Homer Duncan Cohran, 77, of 7735 U.S. Highway 29 N. died Tuesday, March 20, 2001. A native of Paulding County, Mr. Cohran was a son of the late James Chester and Lena Harper Cohran. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Gerald Cohran. He was retired from Railroad L & N as a switch foreman and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Freedom Fellowship Church, Austell, and was a member of American Legion Post 264, Mableton. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Bob Neal and Layman Chip Cohran officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Adeline Amanda Sartain Cohran; a daughter, Debra Lena Hernandez, Mableton; a son, Henry Chester ''Chip'' Cohran, Dallas, Ga.; two sisters, Allie Rice, Lithia Springs, and Betty Head, Douglasville; two brothers, George Cohran, Paulding County, and Hugh Cohran, Lithia Springs; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Phillips, Jim DeLoach, Jerry Hendrix, Trevor Cole, Lee Sartain and Darrell Sartain. Sammy Gordon will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
