Hardman Mrs. Clara Smith Murray Hardman, "Macaka," 96, of Colbert, died Sunday, October 7, 2001. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Hardman was a daughter of the late James and Leola Sailors Smith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Murray, in 1963 and her second husband, Leon Hardman, in 1977. Mrs. Hardman was of the Christian faith. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Dan Fuller officiating. Burial was in Diamond Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hardman's grandsons, Brian Turner, Scott Turner, Jason Murray, Jerry Simmons, David Simmons and Jeff Burke, served as pallbearers. Survivors include three daughters, Robena Simmons, Comer, Margaret Shelton, Hull, and Sarah Turner, Colbert; one son, Kenneth Murray, Hull; three sisters, Rose Lane and Margie Patterson, both of Hull, and Mae Southard, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Floyd Mrs. Annie Seagraves Floyd, 97, of Hull, died Monday, October 8, 2001. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Floyd was a daughter of the late Lloyd H. and Georgia Ann Hawks Seagraves. She was the wife of the late George W. Floyd. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Worldwide Church of God. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with Dr. Tom Lang officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Floyd's grandsons served as pallbearers. Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Sheffield, Bradenton, Fla., Charlotte F. Mauldin, Doraville, Betty Willyard, Wimauma, Fla., and Barbara Napoli, Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Richard T. Floyd, Franklin, N.C., and R. Maddox Mrs. Glenda Martin Maddox, 52, of Gainesville, formerly of Hoschton, died Friday, October 5, 2001, following an extended illness. Born in Athens, Mrs. Maddox was a daughter of Geneva and Gartrell Martin, Hoschton. She was a secretary with the Georgia Department of Corrections and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 7, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Steve Baker and Robert Peevy officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Marion Prather officiating. Moore Mrs. Asleen Matthews Moore, 86, of Athens, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at her residence following a sudden illness. Born March 26, 1915, in Jackson County, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Milton Homer and Lilly Mae Green Matthews. She was a homemaker and was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church, Nicholson, for 71 years. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ross Moore, and four sons, Donnie Moore, Gary Moore, Harold Moore and Marvin Moore. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Revs. Alan Seagraves and Richard Cathy officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Moore's grandchildren served as pallbearers. Walker, 66, of Comer, died Monday, October 8, 2001. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Walker was a son of the late George W. and Edith Mae Gresham Walker. Having made his home in Comer since 1963, he was retired from retail sales and was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by two brothers, George W. Walker Jr. and James B. Walker. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a member of West End Baptist Church.
