She was the daughter of the late Alvin Crawford and Sudie Doster Tate. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winder, the Winder chapter of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. She was retired from the Winder Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark O. Taylor, and brothers and sisters, Geoffrey Tate, Paul Tate, H.C. Tate, Edward Tate, Florene Tate and Moates and Lottie Tate Potts. The funeral was Wednesday, September 26, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. John Talley officiating. Burial was in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Gainesville, he was born Dec. 3, 1960, the son of the late Tommy Davidson and Mary Pat Hicks Davidson. He graduated from schools in Channelview, Texas, and received his associate's degree in computer science at CTED National Education Center in Tampa, Fla. He was a member of Cooper River Drag Strip and served in the United States Navy. He was a field service technician with General Electric Automation Services. A native of Madison County, she was born Sept. 13, 1911 and was the daughter of the late Georgie Bryant Freeman and John Freeman. She was the owner/operator of a beauty shop and was an elementary teacher for 17 years in Braselton and North Jackson. She was a member of Lebanon Methodist Church where she was church treasurer and a Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elisha Byrd Martin. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Jerry Rape, The Rock, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Howard Banks and Gerry Davis officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Methodist Church, Jefferson. Shore Mrs. Vassie Ree Seabolt Shore, 82, of Commerce, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens. Mrs. Shore was born August 25, 1919, in Banks County, a daughter of the late William A.J. and Mattie Adel Bond Seabolt. She was a homemaker and was a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Shore was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Shore. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 27, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Bill Carpenter and Lee Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Martin, Commerce; two brothers, Grady Seabolt and Verner Seabolt, both of Commerce; one sister, Alma Dickinson, Pottstown, Pa.; one grandson and one granddaughter. A native of Franklin County, he was born Nov. 11, 1995, and was the son of Kathy Lynn Gable, Danielsville, and the late Gary Dean Potts. He was a kindergarten student at Ila Elementary School and attended Friendship Baptist Church and Awana Club. He played T-ball with the Madison County Recreation Department. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a grandmother, Patsy Potts, Winter Garden, Fla.; grandparents, Clark and Virginia Gable; and a grandfather, Summie Potts. The funeral was Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial was in Bowers Memorial Gardens. Mr. Whitlock was born April 26, 1961, in Jackson County, a son of Sylvia Jean Jordan Whitlock, Commerce, and the late Benson Whitlock. He was employed as a fork lift operator for Louisiana Pacific.
