A native of Madison County, Mrs. Parten was a daughter of the late Coke Bullock and Mary Pauline McCurley Bullock. She was a homemaker and seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Liver Foundation. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Colbert Cemetery with the Rev. Don Fuller officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Williams, Commerce; a son, Bruce Parten, Winder; two brothers, G.T. ''Pete'' Bullock, Danielsville, and Paul Bullock, Colbert; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, Ste. 603, New York, NY 10038.
