Gerrin Mrs. Mary Louise Gerrin, of Daniels-ville, died Sunday, December 1, 2002. A native of Cartersville, Mrs. Gerrin was a daughter of the late William C. and Mable Owens Chambers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Gerrin was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Gerrin, a daughter, Shirley Chambers, a sister, Mable Parrish, and brothers, Jimmy, Leroy and Charles Chambers. Mrs. Hart was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Lloyd Allen and Troyce Fulghum Allen Childs and the step-daughter of the late Robert Alvin Childs. She was a homemaker and a member of Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Roland was born in Hart County on March 20, 1922. He was a son of the late Waymon Talmadge Rowland and the late Annie Laura Snow Rowland. Mr. Roland was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was a Paratrooper, and served as Commander of the American Legion Post #109 in Hartwell. Mr. Roland was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bonnie Roland, and a brother, Oscar Rowland. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston. Mr. Roland is survived by his wife, Martha Ella Kersey Roland, Canon; sons, D. She was a daughter of the late John M. and Nora Mae Wall Parham. Mrs. Bridges was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude, J.W. and Allen Parham, and a sister, Edna Parham. Mr. Smith was the developer and previous owner of Morningside Village Mobile Home Park and was retired from Plantation Pipeline. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Howard Smith. Mrs. Weller was born August 2, 1936, in Hart County, a daughter of James Aubrey and Littie Pierce Weaver. She was a homemaker, had worked as a truck driver and as a dietitian at Emmanuel College. Mrs. Weller was a member of New Franklin Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Lester Weller. Mr. Sturgis was the son of June Sturgis, Baxter Springs, Kan., and the late Donald P. Sturgis. He attended the Nazerene College of Oklahoma City, Okla., and was a communications engineer for ITT, LDX telecom and Southern Bell. Mr. Sturgis owned and operated J.W.’s Truck Service for 8 1/2 years and was employed at ConAgra in the maintenance department. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Ira T. Ramey Sr. and Pastor Randy Gordon officiating. Mr. Martin was born September 18, 1945, a son of Beria Coile Martin, Comer, and the late Sarge Dewey Martin Sr. He had been employed as a roller operator in the road construction business. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Martin, a step-daughter, Sharon Barner, and two brothers, Tommy Ed and Roger Eugene Martin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Darvin Cash and Layman Otis Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Donnie Hughes, Brian Adams, Jamie Coile, Brandon Hughes, Tommy Dalton, Tommy Coile, Tony Scarboro and Allen Russum will serve as pallbearers. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a son, Marvin West Martin, Comer; a daughter, Sharon Ossipchouk, Elberton; step- daughters, Tammy Higginbotham and Tina Rogers, both of Colbert; brother, Rickey Martin, Comer; sister, Rebecca Crowe, Danielsville; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
