Mrs. Bond was born January 29, 1925, in Germany. She was a daughter of the late Carl and Johanna Singer Heinrichmeyer. Mrs. Bond had been employed as a seamstress with Ila Sportswear. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Bond. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Revs. Doug Duncan and Andy Bond officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bond is survived by her husband, C L Bond, Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Linda Bond and Steve and Pansy Bond, all of Danielsville, and George and Frances Bond, Athens; daughter, Ruth Bond, Danielsville; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ron Garrison, Danielsville; sister, Louise Ponder, Germany; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family was to have received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce. McKie Bennie Walter McKie, 77, of Comer, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002. A native of Banks County, Mr. McKie was a son of the late Thomas Neal and Leala Hanley McKie. He had been employed with Georgia Power in ground and building maintenance and was a member of Comer Baptist Church. Mr. McKie was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil McKie, Paul McKie and Felton McKie, and three sisters, Jessie Watson, Louise Seagraves and Eula Hall. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Stewart Lang officiating. Burial was in Meadow Cemetery. Mr. McKie¹s nephews served as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Lyvader Fields McKie; one sister, Sue Whitlowe, Charlotte, N.C.; and one brother, Ralph McKie, Matthews, N.C. Osley, 74, of Royston, died Friday, February 8, 2002, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston. Mr. Osley was born in Madison County on May 13, 1927, a son of the late Grover and Octavia Patterson Osley. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II, and was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Osley was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Sue Smith Osley, a daughter, Berthene Dutton, a step- grandson, Ricky Dutton, a sister, Vonnie Sue Dove, and three brothers, Roy Osley, Grover Osley and Bishop Osley. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 10, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. James Gunn and Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens, South. Sherman Dutton, Jamie Myerholt, Cleveland Osley, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Hammond and Thomas Dove served as pallbearers. Williams Sr. Gerald Junior Williams Sr., 60, of Lavonia, died Thursday, February 7, 2002. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Williams was a son of Flora Davis Williams and the late J.C. Williams. He had been employed with T & S Mills in Lavonia. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 10, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with Dr. Larry Finger and the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Burial was in the Bible Baptist Church cemetery. Buddy Westbrook, Walter Napier, Mike Vanover, Mike Wilson, Steven Pearson, Scott Clark, Josh Watkins and Warren Watkins served as pallbearers. Claytor M.E. ³Eddie² Claytor, 75, of Gainesville, died Monday, February 11, 2002, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, following a sudden illness. Mr. Claytor was born June 23, 1926, to the late Marion Olen and Wilda Virginia Edwards Claytor in Rockingham County, Va. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, fighting in World War II. Mr. Claytor retired from Con Agra, where he worked in maintenance, and was a member of the Scouts and Rangers (Navy Seals) and the VFW. He was of the Methodist faith. ³He was a loving husband, father and grandfather,² said family members. Mr. Claytor was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Allen Claytor and Robert Edward Claytor, and a brother, Robert Claytor. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Home, Gainesville, with the Rev. Steve Baker officiating. Burial was in Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville. Mr. Claytor is survived by his wife, Peggy M. Claytor, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty C. and Mike Freeman and Janet Claytor and Jason Grizzle, all of Gainesville; son and daughter- in-law, Billy and Tricia Claytor, Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Lisa Claytor, Danielsville; sister, Jean Fulks, Fulks Run, Va.; and grandchildren, Amy Claytor, Joseph Claytor, Katherine Claytor and Edward Claytor, all of Danielsville, and Sara Beth Freeman, Matthew Freeman, Taylor Claytor and Jeanie Claytor, all of Dainesville. Nichols Mrs. Illa Belle Nichols, 89, of Colbert, died Monday, February 11, 2002. Born in New York, Mrs. Nichols was a daughter of the late Royal and Ruby Young Brown. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd V. Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 14, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Jeffery Marion officiating. Burial will be in Tavares Cemetery Mausoleum. Survivors include two sisters, Irene Odonald and Dora Mae Delles, both of New York; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family is at the residence of Patricia Senclair, Colbert. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
