Mr. Hutcherson was one-third owner of Bronco Manufacturing and vice president of International Sales, “Where I do what I do best.” He was diagnosed in 1999 with Melanoma, but refused to allow the disease to keep him from living the life he loved. He bagged his limit just a week before his death. “He resisted the idea that the dwindling quail population and his health would not afford him the opportunity to watch his dogs work one more season. He was a terrific wing shooter and was so proud that his sons’ talents might surpass his own.” “John was a true Southerner with his colorful tales of life,” family members continued, “but he adopted the wide-open space of Oklahoma and Texas as his own. John was passionate about his family, his home, his work, his play, the world and the people in it.” Mr. Hutcherson is survived by his wife of 32 years, Faye Watson, originally of Danielsville; his cherished sons, Zachary (21) and Russell (17), and their special friends, Lee Ann and Leslie, the little girls he never had; and Flair, Molly and Daisy, the English Setters that serve in the quail fields and give boundless love at home.
