A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Fleeman was a son of the late James Charles ³J.C.² and Claudine Shaw Fleeman. He was a brick mason, formerly employed with the late S.T. McElroy, and most recently with Ronnie Griffin Contractors. Mr. Fleeman was a member of R Ranch, Dahlonega, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Wood officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Eugene Brown, Richard Duceatt, Johnny Kilpatrick, John House, Chip Brooks and Jeffery Hale served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of R Ranch. Fowler Miss Tammie Dawn Fowler, 41, of Danielsville, died Sunday, February 17, 2002. Miss Fowler was born in Florida, a daughter of Blanche Watson Fowler and the late W.C. ³Dub² Fowler. She was employed as a secretary and a paramedic and was of the Baptist denomination. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include one brother, Tim T. Fowler, Danielsville. Russell Mrs. Teresa Celestina Russell, 81, of Comer, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002. Born in New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Russell was a daughter of the late Augustine Pagan and Josephine Remutti (Pagan). She had lived in the area since 1976 and was retired from Sears, working as a division manager. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, John Hope Russell. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, in Comer Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Mary Russell; a son, David Russell, Comer; a granddaughter raised in the home, Allison Deason, Danielsville; and two sisters. Loggins Mrs. Mae Louise Loggins, 85, of Colbert, died Sunday, February 17, 2002. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Loggins was a daughter of the late Sandy and Mary Elizabeth Hall Sorrow. She was the widow of Elbert Loggins, who died in 1974. Mrs. Loggins was a member of Kingdom of Jesus Ministries. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, at Grove Chapel Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Curtis Lee Hammond officiating, assisted by the Revs. Louis Shaver and B.H. Irvin Mrs. Annie Lou Irvin, 89, of Commerce, died Saturday, February 16, 2002, at BJC Nursing Home, Commerce. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Irvin was born May 26, 1912. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Essie Evans Stribling. Mrs. Irvin was a homemaker and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Irvin. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 18, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Don Pruitt officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Cochran Mrs. Annie Ruth Cochran, 82, of Winterville, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Cochran was a daughter of the late William Alaza and Lily Mae Ivester Payne. She was formerly employed with Gold Kist and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband, Buford I. Cochran. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Kenneth Dillard officiating. Alexander Jr. William Harry ³Bill² Alexander Jr., 75, of Atlanta, died Sunday, February 17, 2002. Mr. Alexander was the son of the late W. Harry Alexander Sr. and Farris Jane Alexander Smith, as well as his step-father, Edmund Carlyle Smith, for over 49 years. He was born in Comer on February 12, 1927, and received his early education in the Comer School system, graduating from Comer High School. He served many offices throughout high school, as well as Editor-in-Chief of The Cosecla, the high school newspaper. Mr. Alexander graduated from North Georgia College, Dahlonega. He then entered the University of Georgia Law School until he was drafted in the U.S. Army. After receiving an early discharge, Mr. Alexander returned to the University of Georgia Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor degree, and later took several graduate courses by correspondence from Harvard Law School. He worked in the law offices of Stephens Mitchell and worked as manager of the Peachtree Arcade Office Building in downtown Atlanta. Mr. Alexander later moved to New York City, working for Columbia Artist Management Inc. for over 24 years. After retiring from CAMI at the age of 52, he moved back to Atlanta and sold real estate for the next 15 years, where he was a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and served on various committees for the Atlanta Real Estate Board, finally retiring in November of 1994. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. David Jordon and Priest Charles Scott May officiating. Burial was in the Comer Cemetery. James A. Nolan, Tom Nolan, Ronnie Waller, Jim Waller, Bill Copeland and John Copeland served as pallbearers. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, at All Saints Episcopal Church, Atlanta. Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Allen; one son, Scott Allen; and caretaker and close friend for over 30 years, Celso ³Benny² Barciela. Born October 13, 1922, in Franklin County, Mr. Bond was a son of the late Thomas W. and Nettie Wilmot Bond. He was a cattle farmer, a retired fertilizer dealer and had owned and operated the Bond Gin Company. Mr. Bond served for eight years on the board of the Franklin County Commissioners, and then as a County Commissioner. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Franklin County Cattlemenıs Association. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by a brother, John Bond. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at Indian Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Stacey, Vernon Dorminey and Paul Collins officiating. Burial was in the Zidon Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Lula Eason Bond; and two sisters, Lois Anderson and Helen Bond, both of Atlanta.
