Thomas Mrs. Alpha Bobbie Bennett Thomas, 68, of Danielsville, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002. Born in Canon, Mrs. Thomas was a daughter of the late Arnica and Bessie Bennett. She was a homemaker and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Dayton Logan officiating. Burial will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, James S. Thomas; two sons, Stanley Thomas, Hull, and Jeff Thomas, Danielsville; three sisters, Hilda Wright, Royston, Sara Mace, Stockton, Calif., and Louzera Hill, Texas; three grandchildren and one step-grandchild. The family was to have received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family is at the residence. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Bohannon was a daughter of the late James Damron and Elizabeth Walls Damron. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 18, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. John Boyd officiating. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Survivors include five sons, Charles L. White and James Bohannon, both of Canton, Frank Bohannon, Palestine, Texas, Ed Bohannon, Woodstock, and John Bohannon, Jefferson; three sisters, Bessie Bearden, Danielsville, Mary Belle Bearden, Kennesaw, and Josophine Keown, Athens; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. McKinnon Mrs. Elvenia James Fowler McKinnon, 84, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Sandy Cross, died Friday, January 18, 2002. Mrs. McKinnon was born April 10, 1917, in Franklin County. She was a bridal consultant at Ivey’s for several years and was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McKinnon was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McKinnon. Mr. Crider was born in Madison County on September 6, 1918, a son of the late Thomas James and Mary Jordan Crider. He was a retired maintenance worker with Johnson & Johnson and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Crider was a World War II veteran, serving in the 36 General Army Hospital Medical Corps., and was a member of the AARP of Franklin County, the 50 Plus Club and the Happy Travelers Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. Williard Crider, Dennis Kesler and Tony Lee officiating. Mikuski Mrs. Joan Marie Peck Mikuski, 55, of Canon, died Thursday, January 17, 2002, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Mikuski was born in Lumpkin County on November 23, 1946, a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Nell Byers Peck. She worked at Johnson and Johnson as a floss operator and was a member of Canon Baptist Church. Mrs. Mikuski was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Peck. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, at Canon Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Creason and Eldon Massey officiating. Burial was in Bowers Memorial Gardens. A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Hooper was the son of William Larry Hooper, Danielsville, and the late LaCena Hawkes Hooper. He was a 1988 graduate of Madison County High School and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Hooper was co-owner of G&H Grading and Hauling, Inc., and is remembered as being “active in helping neighbors and friends in need.” Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Mrs. Casey was born in Franklin County on April 24, 1912, a daughter of the late Dolphus Crayton Broome and Emma Jordan Broome. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Casey was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Benjamin Casey, a brother, D.C. Broome Jr., and two sisters, Drucye Broome Casey and Guynelle Broome Casey. Adams Coy Edward Adams, 88, of Royston, died Saturday, January 19, 2002, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston. Mr. Adams was born September 23, 1913, in Elbert County, the son of the late Ambrose and Mary Ella Davis Adams. He was a retired carpenter, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and attended Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Adams was the last member of his immediate family. She was a daughter of the late Ella Baxter. Mrs. Ingram was a retiree of Lyon’s Manufacturing and was a member of Erastus Christian Church, Commerce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ingram. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 18, at Erastus Christian Church with Minister Carl Beckham officiating.
