A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mrs. Sorrells was a daughter of the late Stella Rogers and Eugene Fletcher Hardman. She was a retired seamstress and supervisor in apparel management. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was a former member of Eastern Star. Services were held at 2 p m. Friday, April 19, at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Dalton Carrington and Daylon Logan officiating. Burial was in the Old Danielsville Ccmetery. Survivors include her husband, William A. "Will" Sorrells; three daughters Rebecca Sorrells McMillan, Columbia, S.C., Ramona Sorrells Mason, Royston, and Joyce Sorrells Ray, Stone Mountain; a son, Stephen Hardman Sorrells, Comer; two sisters, Gaynelle Hardman Wardlaw, Nicholson, and Gilda Hardman Crane, Greenville, S.C.; a brother; Joe Wallace Hardman, Union City; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandhildren; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Chris Tanner, Jeff Tanner, Greg Mason, Clint Mason, Maurice Wardlaw and Rev. Kenneth Segars. Memorials may, be made to a charity of one's choice.
