PARENTS: Thomas I. Kidd and Esther Moon Kidd. OCCUPATION: Retired from Cannon Mills where he was a supervisor in the number five spinning room at Plant One in Kannapolis. RELIGION: A longtime member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church he formerly served as a Deacon and Trustee. MEMBER: Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge No. 626 in Kannapolis. DIED: Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at North East Medical Center after two months of declining health and one week of serious illness. SERVICE: 2 p.m. today at Franklin Heights Baptist Church. OFFICIATING: Rev. Tim Jernigan BURIAL: Carolina Memorial Park SURVIVORS: Wife, Dorothy Compton Kidd; a daughter, Kaye Ollis and her husband, Pete of Salisbury; a son, W. Gary Kidd and his wife, Norma, of China Grove; a sister, Odell Moon of Landis; two half-sisters, Emma Carter of Kannapolis and Dorothy Starnes of Supply; two half- brothers, Weyman Kidd and Hoke Kidd, both of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Todd Kidd and wife Terri, Dana Lindsay and husband Marshall, Stephanie Adams and husband Rick, and Michelle Laird; six great-grandchildren, Heather Clark, Whitney Clark, Justin Kidd, Cami Adams, Joshua Adams and Hannah Poteat.
