Hembree Fabian Bo Hembree, 42, of Athens, died Sunday, August 10, 2003, at his residence of a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 14, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Ralph Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hembree is survived by his mother, Barbara M. Hembree, Athens; two daughters, Leslie Ann and Ashley Marie Hembree, both of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Jim Cecil Hembree, Hull, and John Hembree and Audrey Hembree, both of Nicholson; and one sister, Mary Dudley, Winterville. Fowler Jr. William Robert Fowler Jr., 62, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at Athens Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Fowler was born July 16, 1941, in Barrow County. He was a son of the late William Robert Fowler Sr. and Willa Mae Brewer Fowler. Mr. Fowler was employed as a roofer. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 8, in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pendergrass, with the Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fowler, Jefferson; son, William Carlton Fowler, Jefferson; daughter, Renee Fowler, Jefferson; step-sons, Bill Fowler, Gainesville, and Wiley Fowler, Commerce; step-daughters, Mary Ann Page, Fayetteville, N.C., and Edna Marie Tatum, Ila; brother, Edward Fowler, Winder; sister, Shelby Pressley, Commerce; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Caroway was born May 19, 1915, a daughter of the late Jim and Estelle Briscoe Carruth. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Caroway was preceded in death by her husband, William David Caroway, four brothers, Ed, James, Charlie and Hoyt Carruth, and four sisters, Neelie Barton, Elsie Smith, Ruth McGarity and Lucille Carruth. She was the last member of her immediate family. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens, South. Mrs. Caroway is survived by nieces and nephews. A native of Ohio, Mr. Bullock was the son of the late Johnny Hawkins and Lola Dockery Bullock. He was the husband of Betty Nation Bullock. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Bullock served in the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician and retired from Athens Banner Herald. He was also a member of Word of Life Church. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 10, at Word of Life Church with the Revs. Herman Nation and Roland Arrowood officiating. Burial was in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Virgil Collett, Wayne Lopez, Thomas Blackstone, Odis Smith, Jimmy Smith and Mark Pica served as pallbearers. John Parham served as honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her husband Woodson K. Webb, and a brother, Rogers Merck. Mr. Seagraves was born January 23, 1917, in Jackson County, a son of the late Love and Lucy Burroughs Seagraves. He retired from Harmony Grove Mill and was a member of Erastus Christian Church. Mr. Seagraves was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Adams Seagraves. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, at Erastus Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Pittman and Jim Jacobs and Carl Beckham officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Olson, 80, of Commerce, died Tuesday, August 5, 2003. A native of New Castle, Pa., Mrs. Olson was a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Burr McKone Rogers. She was the wife of the late Dr. Donald Olson D.D.S. Mrs. Olson was a graduate of Muskingkum College in New Concorde, Ohio, and was active in the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts in the 1970’s. She was a member of the D.A.R. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce, with Dr. Tom Lewis officiating. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Dr. Peter Markvo, Commerce; son, Mark Olson, and his wife, Canton, Ohio; brother, Burr Rogers, Byron Center, Mich.; sister, Virginia Reed, Catalina Island, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Ellwyn, Stephanie and John Markvo.
