Mrs. Gosnell is survived by a son, Jim Gosnell, Winterville; a brother, Jimmie Daniel, Commerce; sisters, Annie Lee Beck, Hull, and Nellie Shuler and Nezzie Sorrow, both of Alabama; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Born in Hart County, Mrs. Hill lived in Greenwood, S.C., and returned to Hart County 54 years ago. She was a daughter of the late Crayton and Laura Moss Jones. A dedicated member of Vanna United Methodist Church, Mrs. Hill was an avid worker and leader in her community. She was married twice, first to the late Claude Richardson, who passed away in 1932, and second to the late Toye Hill, who passed away in 1964. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Col. Don Jersey, two brothers, John and Jack Jones, and a sister, Mary Nan Spense. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 14, at Vanna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sharon Waters and Ben Ray and Howard Webb officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hill’s nephews served as pallbearers. Jenkins Henry Austin Jenkins, of Danielsville, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003. Mr. Jenkins was born March 27, 1932, to the late Henry Beeche and Sara Ollie Dillard Jenkins. He retired as a contractor in business with his son, and after retirement worked as a building inspector for Madison County. Mr. Jenkins was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher and was a choir member. He was preceded in death by a son, David Alan Jenkins, and a sister, Margaret Jenkins Yarbrough. Massey, 87, of Commerce, died Friday, December 12, 2003, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce. Born December 8, 1916, in Jackson County, Mr. Massey was the son of the late J. Claude and Onie Ray Massey. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce. A World War II veteran, Mr. Massey served in the United States Army.
