A native of Madison County, Ms. Palmer was the daughter of the late Thomas D. and Ada Gunnells Hawkes. She was the widow of Leonard W. Palmer. Ms. Palmer was a seamstress with Blue Bell Manufacturing in Comer and was a member of Comer United Methodist Church. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Mike McLemore officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a brother, Hugh D. Mrs. Sheridan was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Bennett Langford. She retired from Oxford Manufacturing Company and was a talented seamstress and crafts person, it was stated. Mrs. Sheridan was a member of Franklin Springs Baptist Church and a faithful attendee of Faith Christian Fellowship Church. “She was known for her quiet, giving spirit,” added family members, “blessing all she met and loved by all.” Her husband was the late Buscum W. “Bass” Sheridan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21, at Franklin Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Williard Crider, Frankie Sheridan and David Coker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pilgrim Ms. Patricia “Pat” Nicholson Pilgrim, 42, of Danielsville, died at the home of her uncle and aunt, Edward and Mary Watts, Pendergrass, Saturday, August 16, 2003. Born in Stephens County, Ms. Pilgrim had lived in Danielsville for the past 20 years. She was a daughter of the late Columbus and Gracie Watts Nicholson. Ms. Pilgrim was employed in the poultry industry for many years and was of the Baptist denomination. He was a son of the late Robert Frank Fowler and Willonell Fowler Pressley. Mr. Fowler was employed as a roofer. Mrs. Ricketson worked as a clerk at the Athens Tech Book Store and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Comer. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Moss, and a sister, Lettie Davidson. Mr. Williamson was born April 25, 1947, in Jackson County, a son of the late Boyce and Stella Cooper Williamson. Mr. Williamson was employed as a building contractor and was the owner of C&MS (Construction and Maintenance Specialist). He attended Victory Life Church in Watkinsville. Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by a brother, David Boyce Williamson.
