Timms Lewis D. Timms, 74, of Comer, died Saturday, November 22, 2003. A native of Barrow County, Mr. Timms was a son of the late Leonard E. and Ada Estelle Smith Timms. A resident of Madison County for the last 14 years, Mr. Timms was retired from Kraft Foods and had currently been employed with Real Deal Inc., in Winder. He was an ordained minister of the Pentecostal denomination. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Davis, the Rev. Dayton Logan and Adam Watson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Timms is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Bray Timms; daughter, Brenda Timms Maddox, and husband, Donald, Danielsville; son, David Timms, and wife, Melinda, Dawsonville; sisters, Lucille Rudeseal and Runette Oakes, both of Monroe; brother, Bobby Timms, Gratis; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sailors was the son of the late Oliver and Ethel “Babe” Howington Sailors. A Korean War United States Army veteran, Mr. Sailors was a retired Civil Engineer for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of Hudson Lodge #294 F.&A.M. Mrs. Vickery was born in Franklin County on January 1, 1920, a daughter of the late R.A. and Minnie Prince Harbin. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Bowman. Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her husband, James Enoch Vickery, a son, Tommy Vickery, and a brother, Bill Harbin. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 21, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Paul Vickery officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens, North. Booth Sr. Jerry Lewis Booth Sr., 56, of Comer, died Monday, November 24, 2003. A native of Madison County, Mr. Booth was a son of the late Gordon and Emily Graham Booth. He was a United States Army veteran of Vietnam and was employed as a United States postal carrier. Funeral services were to have been held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Meadow Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Sarna and Gordon Rhoden officiating, followed by burial in the Comer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Turner, Bill Grider, Mark Lundy, Doug McClain, Kenneth Strickland and Matt Morris, with Jerry Phillips and John Payne serving as honorary pallbearers. Born in Clarke County on February 12, 1945, Mr. Hunsinger was a son of the late Charles Frank and Mary McClane Hunsinger. He worked with the City of Athens and attended Mill Shoal Baptist Church. Mr. Hunsinger was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Hunsinger. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday, November 21, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Mr. Bruce was born in Anderson County, S.C., on September 15, 1920, a son of the late Jacob Roy and Nancy Craft Bruce. Mr. Bruce was a farmer and was of the Wesleyan faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. Mr. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Julia Dutton Bruce, two daughters, Gail Richey and Wilma Ballad, two brothers, Gene and Charlie Bruce, and three sisters, Katherine Ashley, Leeona Driver and Lilla Gay. Funeral services were to have been held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Faith Valley Holiness Church with the Revs. Donald Vaughn and M.C. Radford officiating, followed by burial in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman. Ginn Mrs. Betty Faye Hanley Ginn, 75, of Tucker, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth. Mrs. Ginn was born in Madison County on March 23, 1928. She was a daughter of the late Horace Lee and Ida Bray Hanley. Mrs. Ginn was a retired real estate broker and a member of Northwood Baptist Church in Chamblee. She was also a member of the Shufflin’ Shoes Square Dancers. Mrs. Ginn was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edgar Ginn, a brother, James Hanley, and a sister, Lutrell Peeples. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Mr. Garrison was born in Habersham County on October 4, 1955. He was the owner and operator of Farry Garrison Trucking Inc. for 11 years and was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church.
