A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Threlkeld was a son of the late Elroy and Elizabeth Harris Threlkeld. He was preceded in death by a brother, David, and two sisters, Betty Wood and Rebecca Adams. Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman and a wonderful husband and father, said family members. Mr. Threlkeld retired from ABB, with 38 years of service, and was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 6, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. James Creason and Mike Sarna officiating. Burial was in the Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery. Ralph Littleton, William Cromer, Clifford Chambers, Doug Allen, Earl Sayer and Charlie Compton served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Patat, Kent Adams and James Dixon. Mr. Threlkeld is survived by his wife, Elaine; son and daughter-in- law, Mark and Paula Threlkeld, Comer; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and George Lamar, Colbert; two step-daughters, Ginger and Hansel Bray and Tanisha Smith, Hull; three sisters, Dot Kidd and Mary Ann Dixon, both of Comer, and Vickie Grimes, Colbert; one brother, Greg Threlkeld, Comer; three grandchildren, Lacy Jones, Kyle Cowart and Cody Threlkeld; two step-grandchildren, Dillon Bray and Jordyn Smith; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Banks David Thomas Banks, 50, of Baldwin, died Sunday, October 5, 2003, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Banks was born in Habersham County on January 30, 1953. He was the owner and operator of North Georgia Air Freight for 18 years and was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. Mr. Banks was also a member of the Mt. Airy Masonic Lodge #141 F.&A.M., the Habersham Sunrise Rotary Club and was past president of the Cornelia Optimist Club. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ottis Stonecypher. Mr. Nation was born in Abbeville, S.C., on January 17, 1931, a son of the late Andy G. and Bessie Katheline Hacket Nation. He was the husband of the late Clara Estelle Craven Nation. Mr. Nation was a tree surgeon. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, in New Salem Cemetery, Calhoun Falls, S.C., with the Rev. Herman Nation officiating. Massey Mrs. Bernice Beatrice Bedenbaugh Massey, 80, of Canon, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at Cobb Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Massey was born in Franklin County on August 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Robert and Olice Cole Bedenbaugh. She worked as an inspector in the textile industry and was a member of Canon Baptist Church. Mrs. Massey was preceded in death by her husband, John Massey, and a brother, Robert H. Bendenbaugh. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. Paul Creason and Eldon Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Huntingdon, Pa., Mr. Fyock was a son of the late Myron J. and Lorna Belle Whited Fyock. He was a graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon, and Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, Pa. Mr. Fyock was a United States Army veteran and an avid sportsman. He was a member of Kings Way Bible Church, where he served as elder, and was a member of Christian Business Men. Watson, 77, of Canon, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at Cobb Memorial Hospital. Mr. Watson was born in Banks County on February 19, 1926, a son of the late Doc and Foncia Watson. He was raised at the Methodist Children's Home in Decatur, and lived most of his life in Franklin County. Mr. Watson served in the United States Army during World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division and was a pattern maker in the concrete industry. He was of the Methodist denomination. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Watson, and a sister, Gladys Patterson. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Hill was in the construction business and was of the Baptist denomination.
