Addie Seagraves Addie Mae Seagraves, 83, of Bogart, died Friday, October 8, 2004. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Babe Watkins McDonald. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Seagraves was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Seagraves, and a son, Billy Seagraves. Survivors include a daughter, Paulette Dodd, Bogart; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Jack Hardman Jack Laverne Hardman, Jr., 37, of Atlanta, died Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Northside Hospital, Atlanta. He was a 1985 graduate of Athens Christian School and attended Gainesville Junior College. Mr. Hardman was an active member of the Georgia Chapter of the Young Republicans, was a business entrepreneur, and the former owner of Jack Hardman Sport in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, O.C. Adams, his paternal grandparents, Clayton Hardman and Edna Langston Hardman Benton, and Ollie S. Benton. Survivors include his parents Jack L. and Judy Adams Hardman, Danielsville; his partner, Michael W. Jolly, Atlanta; maternal grandparents, Kay Adams, Danielsville, and Faye and Bob Hooper, Enfield, Conn; one brother, Brian S. Hardman, Danielsville, one niece, Courtney Hardman; and a nephew, Landon Hartman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dollie Mitchel Scarborough, four sons, Eugene Scarborough, Donald Scarborough, Walter Mitchel Scarborough, and Michael Joseph Scarborough. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Dill was employed at Culp Woven Velvets, Anderson, S.C., and was a Baptist. Mrs. Ayers, known as “Mama Ayers” to family and friends, was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bromer Eugene (B.E.) Ayers, and a son, Virgil Ayers. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Mozelle Wood Allen and was retired from Reliance. “Kenneth and I were married for 42 good years. We were special best friends as far as husbands and wives go. I loved him so. Then there were special friends whom I cared for very much. Martha Fitzpatrick was and is my best friend always for 43 years”, according to Louise’s words on October 3. Mr. Nelms was a veteran having served in the United States Army in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blondine Wood Nelms.
