A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Johnny and Pearl Franklin Bryant. She retired from E.I. Dupont and attended Moon’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. (Humpy) Brown, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Ray Jenkins, Tony Lee and Clint Harper officiating. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brown’s nephews served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Born May 25, 1920, in Jackson County, Mr. Waldroup was the son of the late Sam and Cors Chastain Waldroup. Mr. Waldroup retired from Harmony Grove Mill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Christine Wood Waldroup. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Lonnie Bennett, Tim Garrett and Carlton Peters officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Mrs. Hill was born in Madison County on March 24, 1912. She was a daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Mary Jean Bennett Lankford. She was a homemaker and a member of Franklin Springs Baptist Church. She also attended New Hope Worship Center. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrus Clifford (T.C.) Hill, a granddaughter, LeAnne Carey, a brother, Charlie Lankford, and two sisters, Gennie Sheridan and Georgia Hill. A native of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mr. Kinser was a son of Anna Smith Kinser and the late Jessie Kinser. He was employed in construction and was a maintenance worker with the University of Michigan. Mr. Kinser was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessica Lee Kinser and Denise Kinser Willard, and a brother, Charles James Kinser. Mr. Gailey retired from Harmony Grove Mill and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Milford Gailey. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Verlin Reece officiating. Born in Burke County, N.C., on August 2, 1947, Mr. Crowe was a son of the late Rev. Coy Isaiah Crowe and the late Sadie Evans Crowe. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Crowe served during Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was a retired insurance agent and was presently Master of the Primrose Masonic Lodge in Bowman. Mr. Crowe was a member of the Harrison McCrary V.F.W. Post in Royston and served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Laryngectomees. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Evangelical Methodist Church with the Revs. Elisha Robertson and Tim Peek officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with full Masonic Rites. Miss Howington was born April 13, 1916, in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Dora Tolbert Howington. Miss Howington retired from Commerce Sportswear and was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church. She also attended Nicholson Congregational Holiness Church. Miss Howington was the last immediate survivor of her family. “She was a beloved aunt, loved by her nieces and nephews and all who knew her,” it was stated. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Dennis Kesler and Curtis Greene officiating.
