Noah William “Papa” Alewine, 81, of Hull, died Friday, August 4, 2006.
Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late James Paul and Lizzy 
Cordelia Norris Alewine. He was the owner of Athens Auto Wrecking and a prize 
freshwater turtle hunter. Mr. Alewine was preceded in death by his wife, 
Callie Mae Lord Alewine.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Alewine, Colbert; son, Bobby Alewine, 
Daytona Beach, Fla.; brother, Tony Alewine, Hull; grandchildren, Bo Alewine, 
Joe Alewine, Robby Alewine, Shane Alewine and Bobby Alewine; great-
grandchildren, Josh Alewine, Terrance Alewine, Tyler Alewine, Bryce Alewine 
and Callie Nichole Alewine; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special 
friend, Peggy Samples.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 7, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens 
Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Jamie Doster and Clay Huff officiating. 
Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Ricky Alewine, Mike Alewine, Obrine Alewine, Larry Alewine, 
Terry Alewine, Paul Alewine, Buddy Alewine and Buck Alewine.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, was in charge of arrangements.
