County Agent John R. McDaniel, Mr. H. J. Arrendale, Mr. Clyde L. Carson and Mr. Gordon Epps were returning from Macon after attending state wide farmers meeting when the accident occurred. Mr. Carson was instantly killed and Mr. Arrendale and Mr. McDaniel died at a Macon hospital that night. Mr. Epps suffered fractures of both legs, several broken ribs and internal injuries. Funeral services for Mr. McDaniel were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Danielsville Baptist Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. F. J. Hendricks, Pastor; Rev. D. R. Nicholson, of Athens and Rev. T. H. Whellis, pastor of the Methodist Church. Surviving Mr. McDaniel are: his widow, Mrs. Estelle Addison McDaniel; one daughter, Latrelle; two sons, Bobby and Travis McDaniel; his mother, Mrs. Hartley McDaniel, Dexter, Ga.; two sisters: Mrs. Coney Algood, Dexter ad Mrs. Arthur Floyd, Cochran; and brothers Messers. Dexter and Cecil McDaniel, of Kibbee, Ga. Services for Mr. Arrendale were held at Colbert Baptist Church Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. B. Brown, Pastor of Maysville Baptist Church, and interment was in Colbert cemetery. Mr. Arrendale was a Rural carrier and prominent farmer of the county. Funeral services for Mr. Carson were h eld Sunday morning from the Ila Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. John A. Simpson. He was an elder in the church and one of the county's most prominent men. Countless friends throughout the county are deeply grieved over the passing of these fine citizens.
