Blanton Jackson Austin, 59, of Commerce, died Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 
BJC Medical Center, Commerce.

He was born in Jackson County and was the son of the late Pellom and Rozelle 
Butler Austin. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall 
Austin and Homer Lee Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Dot Embrick Austin, Commerce; son and daughter-in-
law, Blanton Jackson “BJ” Austin, Jr. and Lori Austin, Sacramento, Calif.; 
daughter, Roseann Austin, Commerce; brother, John Austin, Madison County; 
sister, Joyce Long, Jefferson; and a grandson, Jack Austin.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 23, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral 
Home. Burial was at Jackson Memorial Park.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
