E. Bagwell Rites Willie Ernest Bagwell, 68, of Rt. 2, Danielsville, died Tuesday morning at Cobb Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was a retired textile employee, a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a deacon of the church. He was an ordained Baptist minister. He was born in Walton County, a son of the late Charlie and Susie Connor Bagwell. He was twice married, first to the late Hattie Halfor Bagwell. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eddie Fitzpatrick Bagwell; a son, Milton E. Bagwell of Colbert; two daughters, Mrs. Heyward Gerrard of Commerce, Mrs. Henry Smith of Danielsville; two step-sons, Johnny Fitzpatrick, Charles Richard Fitzpatrick of Commerce; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Nicholson of Winder. Mrs. Bonnie Wilson of Athens, Mrs. Sue Eddins of Danielsville; six sisters, L. M. Allen, Mrs. J. T. Exposito, both of Augusta, Mrs. Earl Franklin of Washington D.C., Mrs. Claudine Allgood of Atlanta, Miss Sue Bagwell and Mrs. Jack Pate, both of Milledgeville, 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 31, at 3 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church by the Rev. Dayton Logan. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Smith, J. C. Wilson, Billy Nicholson, Johnny Heaton, W. G. Drake, Dawson Barnett. The board of deacons of the Friendship Baptist Church served as honorary escort.
