LEILA BOND HELD WEDNESDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Leila Bond, one of the County's most outstanding citizens, were held here Wednesday afternoon at Danielsville Baptist Church conducted by her Pastor, Rev. F. J. Hendrix and former Pastor, A. E. Logan. Mrs. Bond, widow of the late J. F. L. Bond, died at her home in Danielsville following a short illness. She was 78 years of age. Pallbearers were R. T. Broome, L. E. Green, N. C. Bullock, R. C. Griffeth, J. Alvin Baker, R. E. Adair Seab Winfrey and R. H. Daniel and interment was in the Danielsville cemetery. Mrs. Bond is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. T. Murray of Danielsville; one son, Major Hamilton Hickman Bond, San Francisco, Calf.; two grandsons Ensign Bond Murray W. S. N. and Hamil Murray, Danielsville and a niece Mrs. Leila Rice of Elberton. Deep and widespread is the sorrow of many friends at the passing of this fine Christian. A resident of Danielsville for fifty-two years, she had ever been an outstanding leader and influence for good. First place, outside the family circle she gave to her church, but she contributed her time and talents toward every civic and social betterment. She was a consecrated Christian, a devoted mother, a sincere friend-- a woman altogether lovely.
