Mrs. Leona Sorrow Bridges, 77, of Colbert died Sunday in a local hospital 
after a lengthy illness.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Colbert Baptist Church with the 
Revs. Paul Hopkins and Ray Jenkins officiating.  Burial will be in the Murray 
Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mrs. Bridges was the 
daughter of the late Albert and Linnis Burroughs Sorrow.  She was a member of 
the Colbert Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Betty Bullock of Hull; son, Jack Bridges 
of Athens; four sisters, Mrs. Dena Mann of comer, Mrs. Nellie Bates of 
Colbert, Mrs. Annie Crumley of Winterville and Mrs. Susie Patton of 
Danielsville; two brothers, Grover Sorrow of Athens and Ellis Sorrow of 
Colbert. 

Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
