G. Brown Held at Vineyards Creek Funeral services for Mr. James Griff Brown were held at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 26th, conducted by the pastor Rev. S. S. Williams and interment was in Vineyards Creek cemetery. Mr. Brown was well known in the county having resided in this section. He was fifty-five ears of age, and had been quite sick for several weeks. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. D. C. Smith, of Florida; Mrs. C. J. Smith, of Griffin; Mrs. O. J. Fleming, of Canon, and Mrs. A. B. Canada, Jr. of Comer; five sons; W. J. Brown of Canon; J. W. Brown of Albermarle, N. C.; A. M. Brown of Carlton; and H. A. and W. M. Brown, both of Comer; and three sisters; Mrs. Joe Smith of Comer; Mrs. R. Porterfield of Carlton and Mrs. Brewer Nelms, of Charleston, S.C.
