JOHN HAWKINS BULLOCK DEAD On last Friday night, June 6, ocurred the death of John Hawkins Bullock, one of the County's most highly respected and aged citizens--being in his 86 year--and would have been 87 years in October. He has been active farmer throughout his life devoting 4 years to the Civil War of the 60's, coming through this critical period without a wound. He has always been devoted tohis family making simple provision for them several years ago by dividing his holdings equally among them. He is survived by three daughters, Mesdames N.E. Sanders, J.M. Sanders, Myra Floyd and two sons, J.H. and B.T. Bullock, besides 22 grand children and 18 great grand children, besides a host of other relatives. Uncle John H. was well liked by all his friends and was always conservative and stood for those things that were right and practiced the golden rule of doing unto others as he would have them do unto him. He was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove cemetery Sunday morning, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. W.M. Coile of Winterville.
