     Mrs. Lavonia Campbell Burroughs of Ila, Ga., died on Friday, Aug. 29, at 
her home after a long and painful illness, having been in poor health for a 
long time.  She would have been 74 years of age on Oct. 26th, 1924, and is 
survived by one brother, Mr. J. B. Campbell of Ila, three sisters, Mrs. Sally 
Vaughn of Alabama, Mrs. Cornelia Thompson of Ila, Ga., Mrs. Mary Moore of 
Elbert County; Five sons: T. J. Jr. of Lexington, Ga., G. W. of Athens, Ga., 
R. H. of Arcadia, Fla., J. W. of Rodgers, G. A. Jr., of Ila, Ga.  Six 
daughters: Mrs. Lessie Burroughs Crawford of Ila, Ga.; Mrs. May Burroughs 
Steward of Atlanta, Ga., Miss Emily Burroughs of Atlanta, Ga., mrs. Nettie 
Burroughs McCay of Fort Lamar, Mrs. Effie Burroughs Stafford of Ludowici, Ga., 
Mrs. Paula Burroughs Ayers of Ila, Ga.
    Burial services were held at the Ila Baptist church (of which she was a 
member) on Sunday, Aug. 31st.  Interment in Ila cemetery.  Services were 
conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. H. Sacy.  Mrs. Burroughs was a kind loving 
Christiann wife and mother and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
