B. Campbell Killed In Auto Wreck Last Friday while on his way to Atlanta, in company with Mr. D. B. Burroughs, about three miles this side of Winder, Mr. J. B. Campbell was instantly killed in an automobile crash. Mr. Burroughs was also seriously injured and was carried to the hospital at Winder, where at this writing (Thursday) his condition is still considered critical. Funeral services for Mr. Campbell were held from the Presbyterian Church at Ila Sunday afternoon , Rev. J. A. Simpson, pastor, and Rev. Boswell of Commerce, in charge. A large concourse of friends and relatives were present to show their love and sympathy. Both Mr. Campbell and Mr. Burroughs were well thought of and held the friendship of all who knew them. It is hoped that Mr. Burroughs will soon recover and that he may be brought home, and the serious injuries will not prove fatal. The families and relatives of each have our sympathy. Surviving Mr. Campbell are three daughters: Mrs. Paul Glenn, Mrs. Maud Bird, of Athens, Mrs. E. D. Fitts, of Ila, and one son, Dr. Hope Campbell, of Iowa.
