For in the death of our sister, we have lost a loving member. Although she was not permitted to attend church for several years, she was a loyal and devoted Christian. Having united with Meadow Baptist Church September 1923 by experience. She was born in Madison County Sept. 17th, 1853 and lived in this county all her life; was married to Brother W. W. Carithers Feb. 11, 1883; was an invalid for about four years before her death. She was ever ready to meet her Maker in peace and bore her suffering without a murmur. She died Jan. 26th, 1927 and was buried at Carithers cemetery, Rev. E. R. Goss conducting the funeral services. To the bereaved we would say that the one who has power to give and take away is able to heal the grieved heart. She is survived by her husband, four children, seventeen grand children, one brother and one sister. To them we would as grieve not for Sister Carithers is at rest. Therefore be it resolved: 1st. Knowing that God is too wise to make a mistake, and too good to be unkind. We bow in humble submission to His will. That the church extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and may they submit to the will of God. 2nd. To the bereaved family we would commend them to our Father in Heaven and pray that he may comfort them. 3rd. That these resolutions be entered upon our church minutes, a copy be given the family and a copy sent the Comer News for publication. Respectfully, W. D. Christian Mrs. W. D.
