W. W. CARITHERS LAID TO REST HERE YESTERDAY Following a long illness, Mr. William Wylie Carithers, died at his home near Tuesday afternoon, March 20th, at 3:00 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. B. Brown, Baptist pastor, from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment following in Comer cemetery, Bernstein Brothers in charge of funeral arrangements. Surviving Mr. Carithers are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Francis Carithers; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Carithers and Mrs. T. R. Daniels; four sons, Messers. J. T. Carithers, W. F. Carithers, C. C. Carithers, and H. G. Carithers, who have the sympathy of their many friends. Mr. Carithers was eighty one years old and had long been prominently connected with county affairs. He was one of the large farmers of the county, and was noted for his thrift, honesty and business ability. In Community news: Mr. W. W. Carithers , one of our oldest citizens died at his home near Meadow Tuesday afternoon. He was eighty-one years of age and had always been a good man in his community. He leaves his wife, four sons and two daughters and a large number of grandchildren. He was buried at Comer Wednesday afternoon, funeral services conducted by Rev. J. B. Brown.
