Carrington Held Sunday On Saturday night occured the death of Mr. James T. Carrington following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Carrington was one of Comer's older citizens, he having been prominently connected with business and closely identified with all progressive enterprises, a man of honor and integrity, who counted his friends by his acquaintances. Mr. Carrington had been in failing health for some time, but to the last he radiated cheer and love towards those abouto him. In the home, in the town and wherever he was known there is a sadness and sorrow at the going of this splendid man, whose place can not be filled. The funeral, which was conducted from Lystra Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, was largely attended, the last services being in charge of Rev. J. M. Adams, of Monroe, former pastor, and life time friend, who paid his tribute of love to his friend. The pall bearers were the sons and grandsons, and interment was in Lystra cemetery. The usually large number who accompained the body to Lystra, the many and beautiful flora offerings bore silent testimony of te love and esteem felt for Mr. Carrington.
