A. W. CHANDLER PASSES FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY Mrs. Georgia Glenn Chandler, wife of the late A. W. Chandler, died at her home in Comer last Saturday afternoon. She was buried Sunday afternoon on her eighty-fourth birthday. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in Comer Cemetery Sunday afternoon at four thirty, conducted by Rev. C. F. Tidwell, Pastor of Comer Baptist Church and Rev. Rutherford Coile of Winterville. Mrs. Chandler is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grady Pittard of Winterville and Mrs. Fletcher Moon of comer; one son, Dr. Boyd W. Chandler of Greensboro; two sisters Miss Elizabeth Glenn, Atlanta and Mrs. Oscar Beusee Atlanta and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Messrs. J. H. Cooper, W. H. Strickland; J. A. Sims, W. S. Lowe, R. S. Collier and W. P. Martin. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Chandler had lived in Comer for the past 42 years. She was one of Comer's most beloved Christian women. She was a member of Comer Baptist Church, active in church and Sunday School work as long as her health permitted and her passing removes one of our finest citizens. Glenn, Miss Era Hitchcock, Mrs. Mamie Hitchcock and son, James of Colbert; Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Pittard and children and Rev. and Mrs. Rutherford Coile of Winterville; Mr. Detrick Beussee and Mrs. Marvin Cam, McDonough and Miss Jane Chandler, Macon; Mr. and Mrs. Paul McIntyre and baby, Commerce; Mr. and Mrs. Royce Greer, Athens; Dr. and Mrs. Boyd Chandler, Dr. and Mrs. T. H. Connoly, Mrs. J. E. Seer, J. E. Haynes and others from Greensboro.
