Roy Lee Chandler, 87, of Comer, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Cobb Health 
Care Center.

Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late John L. and Ida Williams 
Chandler. He was a member of Meadow Baptist Church. Mr. Chandler was preceded 
in death by a son, Bobby A. Chandler; sisters, Louise Fields, Wreathea Watson, 
Wortie Watson, Ruth Hawks, Bertie Thompson, Ann Berrong; brothers, Johnny 
Chandler and Joe Chandler.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Collins Chandler; daughter and 
son-in-law, Carole C. and Tommy Simmons, Carlton; four grandchildren; eight 
great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Peggy Hall and Loutrell Hutchins; and 
his “Baby” Maggie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, at Meadow Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Mike Sarna and Dayton Logan officiating. Burial was in the 
church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association.  Lord 
& Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
