T. Chandler, 64; Many Relatives Here Final rites for Willie T. Chandler, 64, who died at his home early Friday morning, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pleasant Grove Baptist church at Neese. Mr. Chandler was a native of Madison county but had made his home at Arnoldsvile for the past four years. He had been in failing health for some time but two weeks ago was confined to his bed. A member of the Baptist church for 50 years, Mr. Chandler was a deacon at the Arnoldsville church. He was well known in Athens where he has several relatives. Serving as pallbearers at services today will be Sidney Boley, B. E. Dawson, E. L. Bary, Claude Tolbert, Walter Milner and Hoyt Harris. Mr. Chandler is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Hardman Chandler; six daughters, Mrs. C. M. Almond, Mrs. F. F. Morris, and Mrs. Alen Martin of Athens; Mrs J. B. Reeves, Winterville; Mrs. C. B. Colquitt, Gainesville, and Miss Lona Chandler, Arnoldsville; three sons, S. T. Chandler, Pascgoula, Miss; Garnett Chandler and Clarence Chandler, of Athens; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Glenn, Hull; Mrs. E. B. Dillard, Hull; Mrs. Charles Rice, Athens, and Mrs. John Stanaker, Hull. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery with McDorman-Bridges funeral home in charge.
