T. Chandler Is Claimed by Death; Hold Rites Sunday Funeral services for Willie T. Chandler, who died early today at his home in Arnoldsville, will be held Sunday afternnon from the Pleasant Grove Baptist church in Neese, at 2 o'clock. Mr. Chandler was sixty-four years old and a native of Madison county. He had been ill for two weeks. He had been a member of the Baptist church for 50 years and had always taken an active interest in religious affairs. He was well known in Athens and had lived at Arnoldsville for the past four years. Rev. A. J. Hendrix, pastor of Arnoldsville Baptist church, will officiate at services Sunday, assisted by Rev. R. M. Jenkins. Serving as pall-bearers will be Sidney Boley, B. E. Dawson, e. L. Bray, Claude Tolbert, Walter Miller and Hoy Harris. Mr. Chandler, a retired farmer, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Hardman Chandler; six daughters, Mrs. C. M. Almond, Mrs. F. F. Morris, and Mrs. Alen Martin of Athens; Mrs J. B. Reeves, Winterville; Mrs. C. B. Colquitt, Gainesville, and Miss Lona Chandler, Arnoldsville; three sons, S. T. Chandler, Pascgoula, Miss; Garnett Chandler and Clarence Chandler, of Athens; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Glenn, Hull; Mrs. Z. B. Dillard, Hull; Mrs. Charles Rice, Athens, and Mrs. John Stanaker, Hull. In failing health for the past several months, Mr. Chandler was confined to his bed two weeks ago. He was a deacon in the Arnoldsville Baptist church. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery with McDorman-Bridges funeral home in charge of arrangements.
