FANNIE CHEATHAM Mrs. Fannie Cheatham died on June 2, 1925 at her home in Athens after an illness of 15 years, she having suffered most of that time. She was 71 years of age on May 28, 1925. She is survived by her husband, Mr. M.Y. Cheatham, and the following daughters: Misses Lizzie and Mattie Cheatham of Athens, Mrs. C.A. Carson of Athens, and Mrs. L.S. Butler of Anderson, S.C.; one son Mr. J.A. Cheatham of Whirmire, S.C.; one brother, Mr. G. E. Williams of Hull, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Cheatham of Hull and 10 grandchildren. The funeral services were held in the Baptist church at Hull, conducted by Rev. J.C. Wilkerson at 11 o'clock Thursday, June 4th. The following acted as pallbearers: Mr. Fred G. Bell, Mr. L.O. Price, Mr. Goss Skelton, Mr. Frank Bowdin, Mr. Lester Oldham, and Mrs. Samuel Moon.
